Eucharistic Adoration is a sacred time to be in the real, loving presence of Jesus Christ — Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity — in the Blessed Sacrament. Whether it’s your first visit or you’ve been coming for years, Adoration is not about doing, but about being with Him. Simply come as you are, and rest in His peace.
During Adoration, the consecrated Host is placed in a monstrance on the altar, so that we may gaze upon Our Lord and speak with Him heart to heart.
You may pray silently, read Scripture or a spiritual book, pray the Rosary, or simply sit in stillness.
There are no required prayers or actions — only your loving presence before Him.
🕊 If you feel distracted, don’t be discouraged. Even distractions can be offered to God in love.
My Lord Jesus Christ, who for the love You bear to men remain night and day in this Sacrament, full of compassion and love, waiting, calling, and welcoming all who come to visit You: I believe that You are present in the Sacrament of the Altar. I adore You from the abyss of my nothingness and thank You for all the graces You have given me, especially for having given me Yourself in this Sacrament, for having given me Your Most Holy Mother Mary as my advocate, and for having called me to visit You in this church.
I now salute Your most loving Heart, and this for three ends: first, in thanksgiving for this great gift; second, to make amends for all the outrages committed against You in this Sacrament; third, to adore You in all places in the world where You are least honoured and most abandoned. Amen.
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
Before leaving, take a moment to thank Jesus for the gift of His presence and the graces you have received.
Make the Sign of the Cross quietly as you leave, carrying His peace into the world.
