On September 7, 2025, at the 11:00 am Mass, Holy Trinity Parish unveiled and blessed our new icon of Saint Carlo Acutis, the first millennial saint of the Church. Originally, his canonization had been scheduled earlier in the year, but was delayed following the death of Pope Francis. Today, with joy, we joined the universal Church in celebrating Carlo’s canonization in Rome and dedicated our icon to inspire devotion here in our parish.
Our icon was crafted in Poland and acquired through Upominki Religijne, a studio known for traditional and devotional religious art. It now has a home in our parish as a place of prayer, reflection, and encouragement for all who seek to live holiness in ordinary life.
Carlo (1991–2006) was an ordinary teenager with an extraordinary love for Jesus in the Eucharist. He used his talents in technology to build a website cataloguing Eucharistic miracles from around the world, earning him the nickname “the Cyber Apostle of the Eucharist.” His life was marked by joy, charity, and deep devotion to the Blessed Sacrament.
Among the miracles attributed to his intercession:
The healing of a boy in Brazil born with a pancreatic defect.
The healing of a young woman in Florence from cerebral hemorrhage and other complications.
These and other signs paved the way for his canonization as a saint for our times.
O God, who gave youthful Saint Carlo Acutis the grace to unite his love for the Eucharist with his gift for technology,
grant that through his intercession, we may use all the tools of our daily life for Your glory.
May his example draw us closer to Jesus, present in the Blessed Sacrament,
and inspire us to live with the same joy, simplicity, and devotion.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
We invite you to spend time before the icon of Saint Carlo, asking his intercession for your needs, and especially for our young people to be strengthened in faith and love for the Eucharist.

The Madonna Della Strada statue in front of Holy Trinity Parish stands as a visible sign of Our Lady’s maternal care and intercession for all who pass by. Dedicated on September 10, 2006, this statue was the fruit of prayer, generosity, and deep devotion to Mary within our parish community.
The project began in the early 2000s as parishioners, together with the Catholic Women’s League and our pastor, discerned the desire for a statue of Our Lady to welcome all who enter our church. From the beginning, the initiative was marked by faith, devotion, and a spirit of service.
Over time, parish fundraising efforts—including the dedicated work of the CWL and the support of the Knights of Columbus—made it possible to commission a bronze-cast statue on a granite base, which was installed in late 2005.
On September 10, 2006, the statue was blessed and dedicated during a joyful gathering of parishioners on a sunny afternoon. Additional donations in the months following completed the project, which today stands as a landmark of Marian devotion at Holy Trinity Parish.
Madonna Della Strada means “Our Lady of the Street.” The title has roots in a Roman shrine once beloved by St. Ignatius of Loyola and the early Jesuits, who entrusted their mission to Mary under this name. It emphasizes Mary’s closeness to everyday life—walking with us along the roads of our daily journeys, guiding us safely to her Son.
At Holy Trinity, the statue is both a place of prayer and a visible sign of welcome, reminding us that Our Lady accompanies us on life’s pilgrimage, interceding for travelers, families, and all who seek her help.
O Mary, Our Lady of the Street,
you who carried Jesus in your arms
and walked with Him through every road of life,
walk with us now.
Guard our families, protect our travels,
and guide our parish to your Son, Jesus Christ.
May all who pass by this place be reminded of your love
and find peace under your maternal care.
Amen.
We invite you to spend time in the parish garden before the statue of Madonna Della Strada, asking for her intercession and protection. May this statue continue to inspire faith, devotion, and trust in Mary’s care for generations to come.

The Sacred Heart Picture at Holy Trinity Parish is more than just an image; it is a testimony of faith, prayer, and divine providence. This framed copy has its origin in a convent in Cleveland in the 1940s.
A young woman, while painting an image of the Sacred Heart, struggled with one crucial detail—the eyes of Christ. Unable to complete them, she asked the sisters in the convent for help. None were able to paint them, so one sister suggested that they pray together, entrusting the work to God.
When the young woman returned a few days later, she discovered the picture completed—its eyes painted with a profound depth and presence. No one had entered the convent room during that time. The picture was mysteriously and beautifully finished.
This miraculous story has been retold as a reminder of the power of prayer and the closeness of Christ to His people. In the image, the Sacred Heart of Jesus shines with love, bearing the Lamb of God within His Heart. On the sleeve of His garment, many also see the figure of Our Lady, silently present.
The painting continues to draw the faithful into deeper devotion, echoing Christ’s invitation:
“Look into My eyes, give Me yourself, and I will bless you.”
O Sacred Heart of Jesus,
burning with love for us,
draw us ever closer to You.
Teach us to trust in Your mercy,
to live in Your love,
and to reflect Your presence in our lives.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, we place all our trust in You. Amen.
We invite you to pause before this image of the Sacred Heart in our parish, to pray, and to let Christ’s gaze rest upon you. May His Heart be your refuge, your strength, and your peace.
The Infant Jesus of Prague devotion at Holy Trinity Parish invites us to draw near to Christ with childlike trust and confidence. This statue, clothed in jeweled garments and crowned in royal dignity, is a sign of Christ’s kingship and His tender love for His people.
This statue of the Infant Jesus of Prague was lovingly brought from Prague by Susan Papas Hauck and gifted to our parish through the generosity of Mrs. Rita Poon. Before arriving at Holy Trinity, the statue was taken to the Church of Our Lady of Victory in Prague, the original shrine of the Infant Jesus. On May 6, 2018, it was solemnly blessed there in the main sanctuary by the Discalced Carmelite Fathers.
This special blessing linked our parish statue directly to the centuries-old devotion in Prague, where countless faithful have entrusted their prayers to the Infant Jesus. The certificate of blessing, displayed alongside the statue, recalls the care with which it was entrusted to our parish as a gift for the people of Canada.
Today, the statue stands at Holy Trinity Parish as a cherished focus of prayer and devotion. Alongside it, parishioners may write down their confidential prayer intentions, entrusting them to the Infant Jesus, who promises: “The more you honor Me, the more I will bless you.”
The Infant Jesus of Prague devotion dates back to the 17th century, when a statue of the Christ Child in Prague became renowned for miracles and for spreading devotion to the tender kingship of Jesus. The image reminds us of Christ’s humility in becoming a child, His closeness to us in our daily needs, and His powerful intercession for those who approach Him in trust.
His raised hand in blessing and the globe He holds in His left hand proclaim that the Child Jesus is truly the King of Heaven and Earth. At the same time, His small stature calls us to approach Him with simplicity, innocence, and faith.
O Jesus, who said: “Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you,”
through the intercession of Mary, Your Most Holy Mother, I knock, I seek, I ask that my prayer be granted.
(Here, make your request.)O Divine Jesus, who said: “Unless you become like little children, you will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven,”
grant me the simplicity and wonder, the tenderness and gentleness of a child. Fill me with innocence, hope, and love.
(Here, make your request.)O Divine Infant, help me to know how close You are to me and how powerful is Your embrace.
Help me to trust that You hold the whole world in Your hands.
I place my every need and care in Your heart.
(Here, make your request.)
We invite you to spend time in prayer before the Infant Jesus of Prague in our church, offering your intentions and entrusting your life to His care. May this devotion inspire childlike faith, confidence in God’s providence, and joy in Christ’s kingship for all who come to Holy Trinity Parish.
