On the 6th Sunday of Easter, this homily reflects on Jesus’ promise of the Holy Spirit and the call to keep his commandments out of love. Using the vivid example of coaching javelin, Deacon Pat shows how God’s guidance is not meant to restrict us but to help us live fully and faithfully. The message contrasts temporary fun with the deep joy that comes from knowing Christ and living in communion with him.
