On the 15th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Deacon Wes reflects on Jesus’ parable of the sower and challenges the congregation to ask what kind of soil they are for the Word of God. Using vivid examples from farming, he contrasts modern planting with the ancient world to show how the Gospel must be received deeply and bear lasting fruit. He warns against the small cracks in faith through which temptation can enter, and calls believers not only to hear the Word but to live it so fully that it multiplies in others. The celebration is made especially joyful by the baptism of several children, highlighting new life in Christ and the call to nurture faith from the beginning.
